Every parent goes through times when it feels like nothing is working and everything is going wrong. Often a simple change or a minor tweak will readjust the balance.
At other times it is hard to see a way out. During times of change (birth, death, divorce, moving house, illness) it can help to know that you have the support to make decisions about how to talk to a child, how to manage behaviour and how to cope with difficult emotions.
